Heat-Care Leave-In OEM: Match Each Claim to a Test

Plan a heat-care leave-in OEM project by separating heat, humidity, detangling and sensory claims, then matching each to the appropriate test and formula.

A multifunctional leave-in needs a claim-by-claim evidence plan. Heat protection, humidity control, easier combing and lightweight feel are different questions; one attractive after-photo cannot substantiate all of them.

Why multifunctionality needs a tighter brief

The 27 October mes° launch combines routine simplification with repair and restyling formats. OGX’s 29 October announcement also includes leave-in care within a frizz system. These launches explain the current buying conversation, but their proprietary technologies and performance numbers are not evidence for a JunChun sample.

Separate the four work packages

For a heat claim, agree the tool exposure, preparation, dose, repetitions, hair type, comparator and relevant damage endpoint with a qualified testing provider. For humidity, define environmental conditions, style and evaluation method. For detangling, compare a suitable combing endpoint. For lightweight feel, assess roots, lengths, tack and repeated-use residue under the actual routine.

Do not set a temperature from a trend keyword

A search phrase such as 230 degrees C is a buyer interest signal, not a product specification. Do not print a maximum temperature until the selected formula and application protocol support it. Likewise, UV care, color protection and hard-water claims require their own rationale and evidence rather than being added automatically to a heat-care label.

Keep the pump and directions in the study

JunChun’s supplied leave-in presentation uses a 200 ml pump format. Confirm actual output and an appropriate applied amount. A study using a carefully weighed dose may not reflect a retail direction that says only a few pumps. Formula, pack, directions and evidence should refer to the same configuration.

Prioritize the first launch

Choose one lead benefit and one or two supporting benefits that the budget can substantiate. Start with sample selection, then commission the agreed work before final claim artwork. Eligible mature formula and stock packaging projects may begin at 100 pieces; salon routes, changes and custom packaging require separate minimums. JunChun’s OEM team can coordinate the scope without promising a universal test package.

Frequently asked questions

Can a heat-protection ingredient prove 230-degree protection?

Not by itself. Substantiate the selected finished product and protocol.

Does anti-frizz evidence also prove UV protection?

No. They are separate claims.

Must every proposed benefit appear on the front label?

No. Prioritize clear, supportable benefits over a long numbered list.
