Arabic–English Beauty Labels for Iraq and GCC: 12 Fields to Confirm Before Production

A practical OEM checklist for Arabic–English beauty labels covering product identity, INCI, directions, warnings, batch coding and importer review.

Arabic–English artwork can help an Iraq or GCC beauty project move more smoothly, but translation alone is not label compliance. The buyer, manufacturer, designer and local importer must agree on the product identity, formula, claims, directions and responsible-party details before printing.

The Short Answer

Confirm twelve core fields before artwork approval, then ask the importer or local regulatory partner to review the final market version. Do not print labels from an early quotation or sample description.

1. Product Identity

Use a clear cosmetic product name that matches the approved formula and use. Avoid medical or treatment language unless the destination market and evidence support it.

2. Product Function

State what the product is designed to do in ordinary cosmetic terms, such as cleansing, conditioning, moisturizing, smoothing or refreshing. Keep the Arabic and English meanings aligned.

3. Net Content

Confirm the fill size and unit before the designer starts. The declared amount must match the final package and filling specification.

4. Full Ingredient List

Use the final approved INCI list in the required order and format. A concept ingredient list or early development formula is not suitable for final artwork.

5. Directions for Use

Directions should match the actual product protocol. Separate salon-professional instructions from consumer home-use instructions where needed.

6. Warnings and Cautions

Confirm product-specific cautions, eye-contact instructions, patch-test language where appropriate and any destination-market warning requirements. Do not copy warnings from an unrelated product.

7. Batch or Lot Identification

Leave enough printable space for the production lot. The code must remain readable on the chosen bottle, jar, tube, pouch or carton.

8. Manufacture and Expiry Information

Confirm the date format, shelf-life presentation and production coding method. The correct approach may vary by product and destination.

9. PAO Symbol Where Applicable

Period-after-opening information should match the product assessment and market requirements. Do not select a PAO value only because it is common in the category.

10. Storage Conditions

Use practical storage instructions supported by the product and package, especially for products exposed to high transport or warehouse temperatures.

11. Manufacturer, Responsible Party and Origin

Confirm the legal company details, country of origin and any importer, distributor or responsible-party information required for the destination.

12. Contact, Barcode and Traceability Space

Reserve room for contact information, barcode, QR code or local sticker where the commercial plan requires them. Make sure variable information does not cover mandatory text.

Translate Approved Claims, Not Ideas

The English master copy should be approved first. Then the Arabic version should be reviewed for meaning, tone and prohibited implications.
Words such as repair, growth, anti-hair-loss, medical-grade, whitening, SPF, heat protection and clinical can carry evidence or regulatory requirements. Final claims must match the formula, testing and destination.

Design for Readability

Metallic labels, small bottles and bilingual copy can create overcrowding. Test the printed size, contrast, line spacing and curved-surface readability before mass production.
A label can look attractive on a computer screen and still fail on the real container.

Product and Packaging Compatibility

Artwork approval should follow formula and package selection. A hard-water shampoo, scalp serum, body lotion and facial serum may require different bottle materials, pumps, warnings and storage notes.

Approval Workflow

  • Confirm final formula and INCI
  • Confirm destination and channel
  • Approve English claims and directions
  • Prepare Arabic translation
  • Add responsible-party details
  • Review with importer or regulatory partner
  • Print a physical proof
  • Approve mass-production artwork
Record the approved version number and date.

MOQ and Custom Artwork

MOQ starts from 100 pcs per SKU for selected stable formulas using in-stock bottles. Custom formulas, colors, fragrances, and packaging are quoted based on project requirements.
Custom labels, cartons, printing and decoration follow the selected material and supplier MOQ. Artwork approval is required before production.

Buyer FAQ

Can the factory guarantee that one label works across all GCC countries?

No. Requirements can differ by destination, product type and local route. The buyer's importer or regulatory partner should review the final artwork.

Can Arabic be added after production with a sticker?

It may be possible for some projects, but the importer should confirm acceptability, placement, durability and required information before printing.

Can the label be prepared before the formula is final?

A layout can be started, but the INCI, claims, warnings and directions should not be finalized until the formula and product route are approved.

Do you provide artwork support?

Label and packaging coordination can be discussed after the buyer confirms the market, product, formula, package and required languages.
