Clear Scalp Serum OEM: Can Ceramides Fit a Lightweight Product Brief?
Assess a clear scalp serum OEM concept after current ceramide formulation signals. Define after-feel, applicator and feasibility before committing to a launch.

JunChun Beauty Editorial Team · 15 October 2026
Ceramides in a clear scalp-serum concept are worth a feasibility discussion when they support a defined product role. Start with the desired application, dry-down and after-feel, then review the actual ingredient system and formula. Transparency does not prove lightness, scalp-barrier benefit or availability as a JunChun stock formula.
Why this direction is relevant now
Evonik’s official SEPAWA programme schedules a presentation on ceramides in transparent skin, scalp and hair-care formulations for 15 October 2026, 10:00–10:15 in Berlin. Official programme, checked 15 October.
This is a supplier capability signal, not confirmation that the session has occurred, that brands have adopted it or that JunChun uses the named material. The commercial opportunity is our inference: investigate a scalp product whose sensory experience is as clear as its ingredient story.
Define the complaint that deserves a serum
A salon brand may hear that current scalp products leave roots wet-looking, sticky or difficult to style. Ask when that problem occurs, how much product is applied and what follows in the routine. A new ingredient name is not a substitute for solving the application problem.
Describe the intended cosmetic role and customer profile. Keep a routine-care product separate from medical treatment or a promised hair-growth result. A stronger development brief names one experience the customer wants improved.
Choose the formula brief before the appearance
After-feel and dry-down
Request the desired spread and finish at an intended dose. Compare how the sample behaves on the scalp and near roots during the customer’s normal routine. A clear gel can still feel substantial; appearance alone is not a performance measurement.
Ingredient feasibility
Ask whether a suitable ceramide system can be evaluated for the target format and market. Review ingredient identity, availability, compatibility and what evidence supports the proposed claim. Supplier-level information does not automatically establish a finished serum’s benefit.
An applicator that matches the use
A precision tip, dropper or other compatible dispenser creates a different application experience. Specify whether the customer needs targeted placement or broader distribution. A proposed 30–60 ml pack is a development option, not a confirmed component or available stock SKU.
Choose between an available route and new development
JunChun already presents a niacinamide scalp-serum direction. That is a separate formula route; it should not be renamed a ceramide serum without a real formulation change. Review an existing appropriate sample first when speed and a manageable order matter.
If the ceramide concept requires new formulation, agree on the development scope and commercial requirements before artwork. The company’s eligible 100-piece mature-formula and stock-pack route does not establish a minimum for this new concept. Packaging changes are reviewed from 500 pieces; new ingredient or formula requirements can differ.
A useful inquiry to JunChun
Send the destination, target customer, current sticky or wet-root complaint, intended use, applicator preference and quantity. JunChun can review the formulation brief, sample and packaging route together. Ask for a clear feasibility response and an available alternative, rather than treating an industry presentation as proof of a ready-made product.
Frequently asked questions
Is this an available JunChun stock formula?
No stock availability is established here. It is a development opportunity requiring feasibility review.
Does a transparent serum necessarily dry faster?
No. Compare the actual formula, dose and use conditions.
Can a niacinamide serum be relabeled as a ceramide serum?
No. Ingredient identity and the approved formula must support the product description.
What should the first development request include?
Describe the market, cosmetic role, after-feel problem, routine, applicator, proposed fill and quantity.
